I have not seen this updated on wiki yet so i thought i'd share a discovery (to me anyway) i made a few days ago.

If you've been wondering what the purpose of these things is besides slighty higher EXP/Cruor per kill i think i've found what it is, i've not tested if what i did on these counts for Ephemeral monsters in Tahrongi/Konschat/La Theine.
What i discovered was...
Getting a "Light" effect from K.O'ing one of these counts for at LEAST x10 of the value the light effect is normally worth from a normal target. How i tested this was during my last AF3 farming party (6 people) in Misareux i had the Ranger use Widescan to track down x3 Epheremal Murex and then got Azure lights on them, this took about 5-10 minutes. Then we got to the Dusk Lizard camp and then on the first kill...
"The monster was concealing a treasure chest!"
"The chest appears to contain a strangely familiar stone fragment"
This left me scratching my head, we had gone after those Murex to see if they drop an Abyssite and were not expecting this at all. We got a few more chests for 1250 EXP, about 2-3 of them until i starting thinking something was up. I had the Ranger scan again for some Ephemeral Murex and sure enough x3 were wandering around. This time we got Pearlescent light on them, x3 times. Then when we got back to Dusk Lizards chests were dropping almost every mob and we managed to get several TE's in the space of 10-20 minutes. About 15-20 minutes later we scanned again and this time tracked them down and got Amber light on them, sure enough when we got back to Dusk Lizards they started dropping large gold chests.
I suggest that PT's with members that do not have too much Abyssea time start their EXP runs by tracking down some of these monsters before they move to camp. It also has the potential to allow Bastion to be spammed with a small PT or Alliance, just track these down and cap lights then kill normal mobs between waves of Bastion.
If this has already been discovered by the majority of the playerbase then disregard this post.
tl;dr: Ephemeral monsters give x8-x10 the amount of light a normal monster gives, if we accept that 25 is the amount needed to cap a light effect then killing 2-3 of them will cap the light effect you got on them.

For obvious reason, Abysea time is the most valuable commodity in the game right now.
Eh, i'm sitting on 120 mins, plus 19 stones atm, and i do abyssea for probably an average of 4 hours per day. I think i've used all of 1-2 stones in the last week.
The trick is to just split up while doing your nms.
2-6 people farm exp/feet/time, and everyone else does nms (preferably split into 2-3 groups, depending on the size of your group). Alternatively 6-12ish people doing a cleave burn and having 1~ party for nms works too, and you can always split the groups up again later on once you get some extra time built up.
